Designed as a response to the centenary of the First World War, Sans tambour ni trompette – Cent ans de guerres (Without Drum and Trumpet – Hundred Years of War) allows to return to the Trench War, but especially on contemporary wars. The collective exhibition unfolds in two places: at the Massey Museum, where the invited artists will question the conflicting strategies and the warlike apparatus in dialogue with the permanent collections; in Parvis, where the presented works will reveal the weight of memory, the strength of writings and testimonies of war, making the archive a living material, a real field of experimentation for artists.
